Aloha, and welcome to Mindful with Michelle.
Here is a bit of my story:
My life revolved around dance for about 18 years, but the competitiveness and perfectionism that came with it was detrimental to my mental health. I realized that dance was no longer serving me, so I left… and found yoga.
That transition was one of the best things I’ve done for myself. Striving for perfect technique in ballet left me feeling like I was never good enough, but yoga wasn’t about what I looked like or what I could do. My yoga practice was, and still is, about how I felt, not how I looked… which invited me into a more loving and accepting relationship with myself.
As I deepened my yoga practice I found meditation and mindfulness, and the real transformation began. These practices opened the doors for me to connect with myself on a deeper level, explore my spirituality, and gain presence and perspective in my life.
I have been growing my personal practice since 2016. I became Reiki I and II certified in 2019, and in 2020 I became a Certified Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher.
I’m here to hold space for you to experience transformation through yoga and mindfulness practices – to release tension, become present, and find peace.
